Don Christensen, Partner, Director of Account Service

Don holds an advertising degree from Michigan State University. Following graduation, he headed to the west coast, working initially on the client side in the advertising department of Vivitar International. While in California, he answered the call to join one of L.A.’s top agencies, Foote Cone & Belding (FCB), where he served for several years as an account supervisor and department head. Eventually the lure of Madison Avenue got the best of him, and Don moved east, accepting an agency account management position in New York City. After a number of years in New York, he worked at several large New Jersey agencies prior to co-founding what is today Christensen Tamburri Communications (CTC), where he oversees client service and business development.

Bob Tamburri, Partner, Creative Director

Bob, CTC’s creative director/copywriter, began his career at Backer Spielvogel Bates in New York City, working on the Miller Lite (Tastes Great/Less Filling) account. Bob produced over 20 commercials in this legendary campaign, including the award-winning “front row” commercial featuring baseball funnyman Bob Uecker, as well as commercials with John Madden, Tip O’Neill and Sparky Lyle, among others.

Later, he co-created the Miller Genuine Draft “Snow” campaign, which was one of the first ad campaigns to feature computer graphics/special effects along with incorporating famous rock and roll songs.

Bob also did stints at New York ad agencies Saatchi & Saatchi, Ammirati Puris and Lowe Lintas. Other clients he has worked with over the years include Burger King, British Airways, Hyundai, Mexico Tourism, Johnson and Johnson, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, and General Mills.  Bob is a graduate of Villanova University, and did post-graduate work at Penn State and The School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Gillian Carter, Account Manager

Gillian Carter began her career at Grey Advertising in New York City working in the media department on client accounts including General Foods, Procter & Gamble, Warner Bros. Pictures, Kenner, Timex and Revlon.

Gillian later moved onto the advertising sales side of the business, selling television commercial time for CNBC and The Discovery Channel/TLC. As an account manager, her major clients included IBM, Norfolk Southern, Pfizer and Royal Caribbean.

She joined Christensen Tamburri Communications in 2006. Gillian holds a dual-degree in Marketing and English from the University of Pennsylvania.

Robyn Green-Taylor, Media Director

Robyn Green-Taylor combines experience in integrated media planning, buying and the direction of media activities. She possesses unique capabilities in developing multimedia plans for major regional and national clients. Robyn’s major clients have included Caesars Atlantic City, PNC Art Center, The Record, American Bank of New Jersey, Bogota Savings Bank, Spencer Savings Bank, State of NJ Economic Development & Tourism, Association of Investment Management and Research, New Jersey Broadcasters Association, Weight Watchers and NJ Lottery.

Robyn holds a BS in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has also done Post Graduate studies at the New School for Social Research.

Greg Toombs, Business Development/Social Media Guru

Greg’s primary role at CTC is new and current business development.  His 25 years of Internet Technology experience has allowed the agency to also expand into areas of interactive and social media. Some of his past Internet experience includes stints at MCI/British Telecom, Cisco Systems, and Infolibria, a start-up where he was recognized with 'President's Award' for the largest sale in the company's history ($15 Million) and achievement of his region's overall sales goals. Prior to joining Christensen Tamburri, Greg also spent eight years as Vice President sales development at Couch Braunsdorf Insurance in Liberty Corner, NJ, where he was acknowledged with the 'Best Practices' award for 2006 production.

Greg is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder where he received a bachelor of arts degree in Mass Communications.  He is currently a board member of the Somerset Hills YMCA and a member of the local and county Chambers of Commerce.

Harvey Barry, Art Director/Graphic Designer

CTC’s lead graphic designer/art director, Harvey Barry is a seasoned advertising professional. His career includes corporate and service side design, art direction, sales, marketing, and project management positions, as well as consulting for design firms and advertising agencies in New York City and New Jersey.  Harvey has been providing art direction, graphic design and corporate identity services to CTC since 2006. His project management and consulting includes advertising campaigns for Binney & Smith (Crayola), Winston cigarettes, Pepsi-Cola, CBS Entertainment Videos, Hershey’s; and corporate identity for American Express. Doing business as VisionWorks Unlimited, LLC, Harvey offers design services for branding, packaging, advertising, printed literature, sales promotion, corporate identity, the web and interactive media.

Kristin Longo, Art Director/Graphic Designer

Kristin received her B.A. in Art & Art History/Graphic Design from Virginia Tech, where she won a student ADDY award and interned for the University Relations/Publications and Outreach Communications Department.

After graduating Tech, Kristin moved on to Bernard Hodes Group where she gained advertising experience for huge corporate and healthcare clients. Kristin later joined the creative team at Alloy Marketing and Promotions. As a designer at AMP Agency, Kristin provided creative for promotional campaigns and events, such as MTV's Spring Break and Simon DTour. She single-handedly designed all branding and promotional material for LG Rally for Music, a concert event held at South Street Seaport in New York City to promote LG's new Chocolate phone. While at Alloy, Kristin also worked on design projects for clients such as Coca-Cola, Sprint, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Hasbro, Paramount, Universal Pictures, NFL, GM, Ford, C.O. Bigelow, U.S. Army, FujiFilm, Crest, and many more. Kristin started her own studio in 2008, and currently enjoys offering design services to a wide variety of clients.
